Summary:

This position will report directly to the Deployment Leader or a Functional Manager with a dotted reporting relationship to the Deployment Leader. The incumbent will include working with cross-functional teams along with leadership to develop, execute, and complete selected improvement projects using Six-Sigma and Lean technologies. They will work with people at all levels in the organization from senior business leaders and corporate management through individual contributors. Expectations include a hands-on teamwork approach to problems, planning, and people associated with all aspects of the Six Sigma / Lean initiative.

Accountabilities:

1.Manage and complete approximately five projects per year which demonstrate measurable cost savings and/or improved member experience using the Six-Sigma / Lean methodologies.
2.Support functional departments and business units in identifying, planning and implementing Six Sigma / Lean projects.
3.Lead teams and provide individual contributions in problem solving efforts on selected projects to reduce defects, improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost and improve cycle time, scrap, rework, etc.
4.Develop and manage the tracking and reporting the financial benefit of a Six Sigma / Lean project. Working closely with finance and other members of management in the organization.
5.Communicate project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects through the project tracking system and management/project reviews to all levels of management. Prepares and writes a final report on each project per the final project report format.
6.Work with other Black Belts to maximize understanding and improvement efforts of Six Sigma / Lean in the organization to identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process/productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that will lead to cost reduction and competitive advantage.
7.Act in a Black Belt position a minimum of two years after training to achieve proficiency and assimilation of
Lean Six Sigma methods.

Required Qualifications:
4-year degree required in business or technical discipline. Graduate degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of industry experience, health care preferred,
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experienced team leader with proven problem solving experience and process focus.
Achieve certification as a Black Belt by successfully completing two projects using the DMAIC process and by demonstrating technical proficiency in the Lean Six Sigma Methodologies.
Proven leadership skills and business acumen - results driven.
Good presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.
Broad strategic thinker with clear vision and direction of world class change management.
A passion for making significant improvements.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the principles and philosophies of analytical problem solving techniques.
Demonstrated proven track record of achievement, solid functional expertise skills, and a reputation as a leader of change.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Works well in team environment, with sound negotiation and people solving skills.
Knowledgeable in the company's business strategies and vision.
Able to combine aggressive initiative with professional discipline and demeanor to accomplish difficult tasks through other people.
Demonstrates a desire to continually learn and grow - motivated by successes.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification Required.
