Blue Plus Enrollment Liaison – Saint Paul

Summary:
This position is responsible for being the public voice and face of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesotas Special Needs Programs (SNPs) insurance plans. This position develops and maintains relationships via the telephone, community meetings, and other public forums in order to promote and maximize the sales of all Blue Cross Special Needs Programs (SNPs) product lines.

Accountabilities:
1. Maximizes the enrollment of Special Needs Programs (SNPs) through determining suitability, eligibility and need; explains benefits for appropriate coverage, responds to questions, supplies relevant marketing material and assists with the application process.
2.Uses lead tracking software to manage prospective enrollee database. Initiates sales calls to individuals who have responded to advertising and direct mail campaigns.
3.Conduct community meetings held to educate and enroll eligible people in BCBSMs individual insurance plans.
4.Delivers presentations to groups of individuals upon request and may meet individually with prospective subscribers.
5.Analyzes benefit trends, the effectiveness of marketing materials and advertising campaigns and makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the department.
6.Develops and maintains relationships with Blue Cross agents and internal commercial sales staff to develop lead sources for potential sales from employer groups, civic clubs, social services agencies, etc. with the goal of selling Blue Cross Special Needs Programs (SNPs).

Required Qualifications:
*Bachelors degree in communications, business or insurance or healthcare and 2-6 years of healthcare related work experience, or 6 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
*State licensure to sell health and life insurance products.
*Thorough understanding of the health care industry.

Experience with Special Needs Programs (SNPs)
Experience with public programs and/or medical enrollment eligibility
