Major Position Responsibilities:
- Support the development and ongoing maturity of the established ACS Solutions Center project management and system development methodologies
- Align with various lines of business to understand their requirements and ensure requirements are met in the methodology.
- Create change requests for enhancements and acts as the project manager to ensure enhancements are clearly defined, implemented, and validated
- Enhance or create new process material, including but not limited to: strategy/approach materials, procedures, process flow diagrams, and training materials
- Support the roll out of new processes/procedures by producing new training material and leading training events
- Conduct process reviews of existing projects or operations to identify process improvement opportunities and implements corrective or preventative actions based on results
- Identify and manage continuous improvement initiatives employing process improvement methodologies and best practices
- Support the development of a culture of quality
- Work as required to complete assignments per schedule
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED (minimum): - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
- 3-5 years experience working in process improvement or re-engineering
- Prior experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise with a number of different software development and delivery techniques such as RUP, AGILE, Waterfall etc?
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changes in the work environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in adapting/tailoring best practices/processes to business needs
- Self starter and self driven- ability to work independently
PREFERRED: - 3-5 years experience as a quality professional
- Experience or knowledge of formal quality approaches such as Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, ISO9000 Series, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, Lean Kaizen
- Training/mentoring/management experience
- Knowledge of CMMI, IEEE, PMBOK Standards and best practices
- American Society for Quality certifications
