Description
Furnace Cleaning
Furnace cleaning is recommended by all of the manufacturers of furnaces to be done annually.
Having your furnace professionally cleaned and inspected may prevent some maintenance problems from becoming dangerous or causing your furnace to stop working.
Today's modern furnaces have many safety controls, which send signals to a microprocessor. The microprocessor continuously monitors the operation of the furnace to determine if everything is working safely. When the controls get dirty from containments, they no longer function as they should and the signal to the microprocessor may be disrupted causing a shutdown of the furnace.
Furnaces burn natural gas, which create products of combustion. It is important that all of the products of combustion are properly vented up the vent pipe and out of the house. The furnace cleaning and inspection should include checking for proper combustion and venting.
Often times when furnace parts are ready to fail they have symptoms that can be detected by the furnace technician at the time of the cleaning and inspection. Early diagnosis can warn you to have a part in your furnace replaced before it fails, leaving you in a cold house in the middle of winter.
