Job Summary:
Advance executive level channel and service operations strategy development and decision making by working collaboratively with operations senior staff, business stakeholders, strategic planning, application development and other IT and operations teams to create clear, actionable strategies for the organization's channel strategy, including corporate affiliate companies. Manage and implement channel operation strategies that are large, cross-functional, cross-divisional, technically complex and which significantly impact the company’s operations. Analyze channel operation needs and issues, formulate solutions and recommendations, present information and work with multiple contributors to implement. Act as a consultant to the company for any channel related activities. Channels are defined as a collection of information and services available in an automated, interactive means, targeted to a specific external or internal audience.
Accountabilities:
1. Develop, implement and manage various channel strategies to meet corporate goals and market commitments. This is accomplished through strategy development methodology, defining IT and operations strategies, understanding market needs evaluations, identifying specific required features and functions, and performing project management, meeting management and group facilitation skills as needed.
2. Develop and manage processes for senior staff to set critical cross-functional corporate channels and service operations strategies. This is accomplished by providing leadership with development and governance process and tools, defining processes, and determining required activities and timeliness.
3. Manage, track, and evaluate status and report to leadership the channel’s operational business plan, progress and performance. Working with corporate stakeholders and IT, determine release planning, feature and function definition, incorporating market commitments and other technology enhancements. Identify issues and work with operations leadership to resolve. If assigned, manage support staff to coordinate administrative activities and resolve service inquiries.
4. Evaluate and synthesize information, prepare reports, formulate recommendations and strategies, and present information about channel strategies and status to operations senior staff and other key stakeholders throughout the company, including affiliates. Work with the operations senior staff to finalize actionable strategies.
5. Facilitate and support on-going maintenance planning, quality assurance, acceptance testing, and resolution of service inquiries and issues of the channel(s).
6. Facilitate ongoing dialogue (both formally and informally) with leadership to disseminate information, keep projects on track, resolve issues, develop consensus, and meet channel project timelines and budgets.
7. Support operations senior staff internal and external communication needs by developing executive level and board presentations, white papers, written reports; developing presentation materials and speech notes on strategies, channel development progress and critical issues.
8. Coordinates channel activities with the other channels and the corporate strategic plan and ensure that they are aligned with corporate standards and measures.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in business, health administration, or related field, or comparable education and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years experience in consulting or project management is required.
2. Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
3. Strong leadership skills in project management and internal consulting with results orientation.
4. Conflict resolution, facilitation, feedback and consensus-building skills. Ability to work effectively and confidently with leadership and senior staff.
5. Experience with strategic, operational and financial planning and analysis.
6. Ability to analyze and resolve complex business issues. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
7. Understanding of the application development lifecycle, web application development methods and technologies.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex ideas simply, through written reports and presentation materials.
10. Ability to read, analyze and interpret business and professional journals and government regulations regarding complex industry issues. Ability to write effective presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, boards of directors.
11. Proficient skills using Microsoft Windows programs.
12. Work is conducted in a typical office environment, with extensive use of a personal computer. Deadlines are continuously very tight. Interpersonal contact with management, co-workers, and most senior level executives is continuous
13. A Master's degree is preferred.
