Team Lead - Claims Payment & Financial

Responsibilities Related to the Project

  • Leads a claims payment and financial team, coordinating work assignments, resolving system design issues, and ensuring compliance with system development standards and methodologies

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to the team, sharing knowledge during interaction with the customer; is familiar with subsystem artifacts, ensures unmet requirements are recognized and addressed

  • Directs the team effort in identifying issues, developing options to resolve risks, conducting requirements analysis and elaboration of changes to artifacts

  • Reviews financial processing and claims payment use cases and provides input on changes to workflows

  • Supervises development of customer deliverables; works with developers to resolve requirements issues and ensure requirements are being met

  • Supervises development of test plans, including review detailed test cases, development of test data, and results from system/integration testing

    Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience

    Desired Prior Experience

  • Team Lead (or Senior Business Analyst) in a related area during a development project for an automated health care claims processing system
  • Strong overall understanding of claims financial interfaces
  • Prior experience with Medicaid claims processing and federal reporting
  • Prior experience with health care subsystems involving strict performance standards
  • Prior management experience supervising a team of business analysts
