Team Lead - TPL & Prior Authorization
Responsibilities Related to the Project
- Lead a team of Senior Business Analysts and business analysts responsible for development of Alaska-specific requirements for TPL and Prior authorization functions
- Coordinate work assignments for team members and ensure work products and activities comply with system development standards and methodologies
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to the team, sharing knowledge during interaction with the customer; is familiar with subsystem artifacts, ensures unmet requirements are recognized and addressed,, help resolve system design issues
- Directs the team effort in identifying issues, conducting requirements analysis and defining changes to artifacts
- Review subsystem use cases and provides input on changes to workflows
- Supervise development of customer deliverables; works with developers to resolve requirements issues and validate requirements are being met
- Supervise development of test plans, including review detailed test cases, development of test data, and results from system/integration testing
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Desired Prior Experience
- At a minimum, Senior Business Analyst in a related area (TPL or PA) during a current or recent MMIS development project
- Minimum of three years of MMIS experience or five years of Medicaid program experience
- Responsible for or serving a key role in handling development for one or more of the following functions:
oCoordination of Benefits/Third Party Liability data maintenance and operations
oPrior Authorization responsibilities and system functions
oInterfaces with commercial insurers for coordination of benefits and post-payment recovery
oInteraction with medical specialists and other external authorizing organizations - Experience working with process oriented business users in the health care environment
- Experience with system development activities including requirements definition,, requirements traceability tools, testing and/or construction
